Alwin and Stef Jurtschitsch took over the family domain from Alwin's father and uncles and convinced them to convert all their vines to organics straight away, with the aim to both encourage and protect biodiversity in the vineyards. As Alwin explains, “The more life you have in the vineyard, the more stable the entire system is.” The aim is produce wine with finesse, balancing ripeness with acidity from this cool climate.
