Vin Orange 2019
Vin Orange is 100% Chasselas and while for the other wines in his portfolio he grows the grapes, these comes from Domaine de Mucelle, in the Pays de Gex near Geneva where Frederic Pericard grows local varietals using strictly Organic methods.
The grapes are hand harvested and spend 10-12 days on skins before pressing into stainless steel to complete fermentation with natural yeasts. When complete, the wine is aged in large old oak barrels for 11 months. The wine is neither fined nor filtered, and sulphur additions are kept very low, with no more than 20 mg/l added at bottling.
Wine Profile: Fresh citrus, mountain flowers and green tea. Lovely balance between wilderness and Alpine freshness.
