Version Sud 2020
Frederic Cossard
£32.00
One of Cossard's newest additions, Version Sud has it's fruit (Grenache) coming from twenty year old vines planted over clay and limestone in Vaison-la-Romaine, Vaucluse (Provence). Vinification is then carried on at Fred's estate in Burgundy where the grapes were fermented as whole bunches for a fortnight, before being pressed off to vat for nine months.
Wine Profile: An elegant take on the grape that offers black fruits and minerals, a silky texture and plenty of Southern charm.

Frederic Cossard
Frederic started his domaine in 1996. Domaine de Chassorney started with a few hectares of vines rented in Saint Romain and Auxey Duresses and now comprises ten hectares of vines across several villages. He also acts as a négociant, which gives him access to fruit from some of the greatest vineyards in Burgundy. These wines are bottled eponymously, as ‘Frederic Cossard’. The Cossard’s have worked organically from the outset and now focus on homeopathic treatments and remedies tailored to the needs of each site.
